Halb Mensch, halb Falter? In den USA macht seit den 1960er Jahren die Legende vom Mottenmann die Runde. Ob an diesem skurrilen Mythos etwas dran sein könnte, wollen Josh Gates und sein Team in dieser Folge herausfinden. Die Spurensuche beginnt in Point Pleasant in West Virginia, der Ort an dem die Legende ihren Ursprung hat, und führt die Forscher weiter bis nach Chicago. Dort soll die geflügelte Kreatur am 500 Meter hohen Willis Tower gesichtet worden sein! Könnten riesige Raubvögel - oder ein geheimes Militärprojekt - als Verursacher für den Mottenmann-Mythos in Frage kommen?
