      Beschreibung

      Lykkejægeren Kenny Wells (Matthew McConaughey) jager den amerikanske drøm. Efter det ene nederlag efter det andet, vælger han at satse hele butikken og drage ind i Borneos jungle for at finde guld sammen med geologen Mike Acosta (Edgar Ramirez). Her må de kæmpe med en vild natur, skruppelløse pengemænd og deres egen tvivl. Da de endelig gør historiens største guldfund, er Kennys eventyr først lige begyndt. Stjernen Matthew McConaughey, der spiller hovedrollen, nævnte selv den her film som hans bedste rolle i et interview med ESPN.
