Ein abgehalfterter Monsterjäger überzeugt die U.S.-Regierung davon, eine Expedition zu einer unerforschten Insel zu finanzieren. Unter dem Deckmantel einer geologischen Exkursion reist das vielfältige Team nach Skull Island.
