Am 31. Oktober 2000 bereitete sich eine Boeing 747 der Singapore Airlines auf den Start in Taipeh vor. Ein Taifun bedrohte Taiwan, und die Crew hatte nur wenige Minuten, um abzuheben. Auf der Startbahn verlor der Pilot die Kontrolle, und das Flugzeug brach auseinander. 83 Passagiere kamen in den Flammen ums Leben. Die Katastrophe wird rekonstruiert und ihre Ursachen werden untersucht.
