Tyson ist 15 Jahre alt und wurde bisher zu Hause unterrichtet: Er ist Autist und hat Schwierigkeiten, Kontakte zu knüpfen. Jetzt aber möchte Tyson zur Schule gehen, wird dort jedoch Opfer von Mobbing und Hänseleien. Als sich der eher unsportliche Junge vornimmt, einen Marathon zu laufen, erhält er Unterstützung durch einen außergewöhnlichen Lehrer ... Der Spielfilm beruht auf einer wahren Geschichte.
