Beschreibung
Der als Hausmeister arbeitende Schriftsteller Jack Torrance verbringt den Winter mit seiner Familie in einem riesigen, geschlossenen Berghotel in Colorado. Doch schon bald wird Jacks sechsjähriger Sohn Danny, der die Gabe des Hellsehens hat, von blutigen Visionen und Albträumen heimgesucht. Auch Jacks Benehmen wird immer seltsamer, er ist unkontrollierbar aggressiv, Frau und Sohn ängstigen sich.
