Beschreibung
The Rolex Middle Sea Race was co-founded in 1968 by the Royal Malta Yacht Club and the Royal Ocean Racing Club and starts and finishes in Malta. It takes place in October and takes the fleet in anti-clockwise around Sicily, Italy along 606 nautical mile journey, with sights that include the Strait of Messina, the azure clear waters of Sicily and the ultimate highlight, the active volcano of Stromboli. Tactically demanding, with famously changeable weather conditions, this is a classic test of seamanship.
